Padre Burgos, Quezon | Borawan Island

As locals call it Borawan Island blend from two words - Boracay and Palawan. This island got its popularity when Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: Summer Special featured this hidden paradise last 2011. Since then I was eager to see this place and judge if it is worthy of its name.
Borawan Island from a far
Rock formations reminiscent of Palawan’s limestone cliffs.
Although its sand is not as fine or not as white as Boracay but I found the place beautiful in its own little way. Having this kind of place not far from Manila where in people can enjoy swimming, trekking, snorkeling, etc without stretching your purse? for me is one hell ya Boracay + Palawan experience.

I've been to this island twice but as if the feeling is still the first time. Exactly one year had passed and nothing had changed. Thanks for the locals who continue-sly promoting the place. Place doesn't need to commercialized for it to be come beautiful better stay the way it was.

Notes to Consider:
1. Borawan Island entrance fee = P20.00
2. There is a small store that sell basic necessities like, canned goods, liquor, carbonated drinks (Coke, Sprite, etc).
3. During summer jellyfish is visible in some parts of water, be careful or better have a vinegar in case of emergency.
